Breastfeeding Support

Breastfeeding has many physiological and psychological benefits for both mother and baby. Although it is one of the most natural, healthful ways to feed and care for your newborn, breastfeeding is a skill that must be learned by both mother and baby!

In the past, breastfeeding wisdom was passed from mother to daughter; but as the popularity of formula grew, more and more mothers chose formula feeding over breastfeeding causing a huge gap in breastfeeding wisdom--leaving their daughters and grandbabies in the dark!

As more and more medical information comes to light about the overwhelming health, environmental, economical benefits of breastfeeding, over 69 percent of American women are choosing to breastfeed their children! Unfortunately, the mothers of these new mothers never learned how to breastfeed!

Hiring a postpartum doula is one way to ensure that you get the support you need for a successful breastfeeding relationship. She will guide you by ensuring the baby has a proper latch, showing you different positions and supporting you by making sure you are well rested and nourished to best take care of your baby.
