Breastfeeding Classes


Producing breast milk is natural, yet the art of latching the baby onto the breast is learned. This class is taught by Kathy Koncelik. Kathy is a Breastfeeding Peer Support Counselor, Certified by La Leche League International. She provides clear, accurate breastfeeding information for the “soon-to-be" new mother.

Areas covered are: Breastfeeding expectations; strategies for success and how to avoid complications; breastfeeding techniques; various nursing positions and comfort holds, maternal diet considerations; tips for new Dads, and the advantages of human milk over supplementation. Kathy will answer all your questions, including the all-important one:
"How do I know my baby is getting enough?" This class is approximately 2 hours in length.
